Annual Meeting of the Membership and Board of Directors 2018

Board Activities Welcomed two new California Directors Karen Fink and MaryAnne Brand Held a retreat and adopted a new work program and budget Began development of a new Land Trust Programs Plan and a Financial Policies Manual Began review of Bylaws for future updates Developing a new housing partnership with Barton Health

FY 2017/18 Accomplishments Commenced $15 million rehabilitation project at Sierra Garden Apartments New ADA units Extensive interior remodels, new hot water systems Energy and water savings Exterior renovations New community building with common space, manager’s office, maintenance office, mailboxes, and laundry area New landscaping, barbeque areas and BMPs

Additional Accomplishments Produced 2016/17 Annual Report Filed IRS 990 financials Joined Grounded Solutions Network Participated in Tahoe Prosperity Center Housing Forums File scanning and archival electronic “Cloud Storage” Office remodel

Sierra Garden Apartments Management MBS Property Management, Inc. replaced Interstate Realty Management (June 1, 2018) Adopted a new no-smoking policy Provided scholarships to residents to attend Barton Health’s smoking cessation program New on-site property Manager (Tracy O’Neal) and maintenance team

Motel to Housing Program Received more than $15,000 in donations from multiple organizations and individuals To date, 10 loans have been made that have positively affected 25 children $17,603 in loans since inception Accolades from numerous community organizations for filling a previously unmet need in this community
