TTT Part One – Research Read the intro for your dynasty – on my website under today’s date Take notes in an organized format – in your own words (do not copy and paste) Find 1-2 other sources from SHS Databases Take notes AND cite your sources They must be academically appropriate, I don’t need books All I need is a works cited, I don’t need note cards You will have worktime today, and tomorrow to complete your notes, they will be due at the end of the period tomorrow Laptops today, CPU lab tomorrow

What to focus on for your TTT research… General Prompt: What is interesting and notable about your assigned dynasty? You must answer this question Relevant Unit Questions: Physical: What is the impact of physical geography on Chinese history? Religion: What is more important: the needs of the individual or the needs of society? How should we behave in order to create an orderly society? Is it more important to have order, or freedom? Government (Dynastic System): What is authority based on? What is power? Why do some people have power over others? How does power change hands? Education: How do you measure learning and merit? How do societies pass on values and knowledge? Defense: How did Asian nations respond to European colonization attempts? **NOTE** YOU WILL HAVE A SECOND PIECE TO THIS ASSIGNMENT THAT I WILL REVEAL ON FRIDAY, YOU WILL NEED STRONG NOTES IN ORDER TO COMPLETE THE PART OF THE ASSIGNMENT.

TTT – Part Two – Visual Representation Your group will create a poster to share at the Travel Expo on Tuesday (4/24) that explains: Why would time travelers want to live in your dynasty’s time period? Make sure your informative poster includes some of the following: 15 Points Focuses on relevant Unit Questions (previous slide) Major People and Events 8 Cultural Universals Geography (interaction between humans and environment) Interesting connections to present day society 5 Points Appealing: a slogan, visuals, and propaganda techniques 5 Points - Works Cited Attached to the back of your poster
