Independent Reading Project Ms. Harris March 21, 2018

Overview This is the project that you will complete for a summative grade after reading your independent book. You will create a file folder that includes: book cover, a plot diagram, character chart, setting profile, theme analysis, personal reflection, and listing of other books by the same author. You will be required to submit a first draft.

You will need A manila file folder (which I will provide) A set of directions and guidelines A set of final copy pages Novel Glue Markers, crayons, glitter, etc. Dictionary or a way to spell check your work

Tasks: Read a book (MUST be FICTION) Complete the FIRST DRAFT worksheets(Due 4/13/18) Write a final copy of your draft. Assemble the file folder by cutting up each final copy worksheet and gluing them into the file folder.
