Background Sour Patch Kids were originally sold with the name Mars Men in the 1970s. By the mid-1980s the name was changed to the current one. It is speculated that the name change was an attempt to capture some of the excitement for Cabbage Patch Kids dolls which were popular at the time.

Opinion Statement In my opinion, I believe that Sour patch kids is one of the best selling candy products that there is.

Reason 1 Sour patch has a variety of tasty products
