Presentation transcript:

I choose to exercise my constitutional rights. I do not wish to speak with you, answer your questions, or sign or hand you any documents based on my 5th Amendment rights under the United States constitution. I do not give you permission to enter my home based on my 4th Amendment rights under the United States Constitution unless you have a warrant to enter, signed by a judge or magistrate with my name on it that you slide under the door. I do not give you permission to search any of my belongings based on my 4th Amendment rights. I choose to exercise my constitutional rights. These cards are available to citizens and noncitizens alike.

(ABOVE) Arabic translation of: You have constitutional rights. ·         Do not open the door if an Immigration Officer comes to your home. If you allow them in, you lose some of your rights. ·         Do not answer questions. You have the right to remain silent. You do not have to tell them your name. Do not tell them anything about where you were born or how you came to the United States. If you are at work, do not run! It is better to remain calm. Ask the officer if you are free to leave and if they say yes, leave calmly. You have the right to speak to a lawyer. ·         Give this card to the officer but do not open the door. If the immigration officer is outside your door or you need assistance before or after, please call the assistance line of United Way at 415-808-4444 (BELOW) Arabic translation of: I stand with you regardless of your race, religion, documentation status, sexual preference, gender, ability, or health condition. Hatred and bullying are not democratic values. They are not and will not be tolerated in our clinic or at ZSFG. Our clinic will always be a safe place for your family.
