Thinking about Science

Thinking About Scientists On the top HALF of page 8, draw a picture of what you think a scientist LOOKS like. Think about where you’ve seen scientists in the real world. Remember that not ALL scientists do the same type of work! Include a LOT of detail to your illustration. Color your illustration with colored pencils.

Thinking About Scientists On the bottom HALF of page 8, write a paragraph describing your scientist. Think about and write about the following: What kind of work do they do? Where do they work? What do they work with? What special equipment do they need to perform their job? You may include any other details or information that pertains to your scientist!

I am a scientist! Draw a self portrait onto the top HALF of page 9. In this self-portrait YOU are a scientist of your choice! Select your FAVORTITE area of science/type of scientists! Be creative and draw yourself in a detailed setting with anyone/anything that you use to do your job, and any equipment you’d need to be successful! Color your illustration with colored pencils.

I am a scientist! On the bottom half of page 9, you will write a paragraph about YOURSELF as a scientist. Things to think and write about include: Areas of science that you are interested in. If you grew up and became a scientists, what kind of scientists would you want to be? Do you have any science role models? Is there an experience from your life that made you interested in science or a particular area of science?
