Meet the Quadrilateral Family

Hi, I’m Quinton Quadrilateral It is easy to tell us quadrilaterals apart from other polygons. That’s because everyone in the quadrilateral family has exactly four sides.

exactly one pair of parallel sides. Meet Travis Trapezoid It is easy to identify a trapezoid. A trapezoid always has exactly one pair of parallel sides.

Miss Penelope Parallelogram You can identify a parallelogram because it has: 2 sets of parallel sides 2 sets of congruent sides

Raquel Rectangle You can identify a rectangle because it has all of the properties of the parallelogram, PLUS 4 right angles

Ronnie Rhombus We can identify a rhombus because it has all of the properties of the parallelogram, PLUS 4 congruent sides

Skylar Square I have it all! Hey, look at me! I have all of the properties of the parallelogram. 2 sets of parallel sides 2 sets of congruent sides opposite angles congruent diagonals form 2 congruent triangles I have it all! I have all of the properties of rectangle. 4 right angles I have all of the properties of the rhombus. 4 congruent sides
