Task Group Progress Last meeting held June 2017 in Houston, TX Enhanced design validation testing procedure almost finalized Plan to introduce Service Application Levels (SAL) for RCDs SAL 1 – Water based mud testing at elevated temperature SAL 2 – Oil based mud testing at elevated temperature SAL C – Test variables to be set by test designer Task Group discussed best method to distribute new testing procedure, and elected to include as an Annex to 16RCD The Annex would be informative If an OEM elects to undertake the testing in the Annex, then its contents become normative Draft Annex to be distributed to Task Group for comment before Q3 meeting 1220 L Street, NW • Washington, DC 20005-4070 • www.api.org
