LAB SAFETY CONTRACTS REQUIRED. Parents and students must sign. Required before lab work can be done. Alternate assignment from book for those who don’t return contracts. Due back to us Tuesday signed by you and your parent.

ACTIVITY: SAFETY SCENARIOS Working in groups of two, discuss the scenario presented on your card and decide: 1. What rule applies. 2. How you could PREVENT the problem from occurring? 3. Develop a plan to handle the problem as both a student and a teacher. You MUST refer to your Lab Safety Contract for guidance! Be prepared to share!

PERFORMING A LAB Plan ahead - read the lab twice. Gather and organize equipment. Follow the procedure step by step. Record ALL observations and use the proper units of measurement. Clean up, wash hands, put equipment back where it came from. Answer the questions that go with the lab in complete sentences with no misspellings.

REMAINDER OF CLASS… Work on your Earth Systems Project – poster or brochure. Due Thursday. Safety Contract due by Friday.
