© Turun Oppisopimustoimisto 2005 How it works Requirements of competence-based qualification Modules of qualification (= the qualification is divided into units) Vocational skills requirements (= what you need to be able to do) Assessment criteria (=how you are evaluated) How to learn what you need to know On-the-job learning (you learn in the workplaces, in apprenticeship training) Preparatory training (you study in a school for adults = vocational adult education centre) Employment training, hobbies, other activities, etc. Reliable document (for example, a certificate, diploma, school report) Competence test  you show what you can do Assessment (evaluation) in competence test is done by Employee (your workmate, for example) Employer (your boss) School representative (teacher) (Student/self-assessment: your own opinion about how you did) After you have finished all the modules and passed the competence tests, the qualification committee will give you a certificate 3.12.2018 © Turun Oppisopimustoimisto 2005
