#1 The length of a rectangle is 2 more than three times its width. If the perimeter of the rectangle is 12 feet a)what are the dimensions of the rectangle? b) What is the area of the rectangle?

#2 Solve by graphing

#3 Is (-3, 5) a solution to the system

A machine can produce either nuts or bolts, but not both at the same time. The machine can be used at most 8 hours a day. Furthermore at most 6 hours a day can be used for making nuts and at most 5 hours a day can be used for making bolts. There is a 2$ profit for each hour the machine is making nuts and a 3$ profit for each hour the machine is making bolts. How many hours per day should the machine make each item to maximize their profit? What is the max profit? Define the variables Write your profit equation Write the constraint inequalities #4

#5 The senior class is selling tickets to the Knightdale Talent Show. Adult tickets cost $5 and student tickets cost $2. If there were 180 tickets sold for $600, how many adult tickets & how many student tickets were sold?

#6 Solve by Substitution
