Art Smart Behavior In the Room!!

Rule #1 Enter quietly and be ready to listen!

Raise your hand for permission to speak or leave your seat!! Rule #2 Raise your hand for permission to speak or leave your seat!!

Keep your hands, feet, objects, and unkind words to yourself!!! Rule #3 Keep your hands, feet, objects, and unkind words to yourself!!!

Rule #4 Make smart choices: * Be ready to learn. * Stay on task. * Use materials as directed. * Keep voice volume at 1 or zero when working.

Clean up and line up quickly and quietly! Rule #5 Clean up and line up quickly and quietly!

Positive Consequences You can focus on learning and create something you and your parents can be proud of. The class will be rewarded if everyone follows the rules!!

Negative Consequences Verbal Warning. Be moved to a new seat. Teacher/ Parents will be notified. Repeated disrespectful/ defiant behavior will result in immediate removal from the classroom and a conference with the vice-principal or principal.

Rewards Kindergarteners and First Graders: If most of the students in your class make good choices in behavior, I will place a “Mona Art Bucks” card on the chart for your class. Your class will earn a sheet of stickers for earning 5 Mona Art Bucks cards!! If everyone or almost everyone in your class is finished with the art project before other classes in the same grade level, then your class will have choice day. I will surprise you!

Rewards Continued…. ☐ Second to Higher Grade Levels: If most of the students in your class make good choices, then everyone will be able to line up five minutes earlier and choose a game to play while you are in line. I will tell you about the games and let you choose. If your class is able to finish the project before other classes in the same grade level, then I will give your class a choice day. I will surprise you!
