Recruitment Definition Edwin Flippo- ‘Recruitment is the process of searching for prospective employees and stimulating and encouraging them to apply for job in the organisation.’ It is process to search for prospective employees. It stimulates and encourages prospective employees to apply for the job.

What is Selection? It is a tool in the hand of management to choose employees for the prospective job. It is a process to differentiate between qualified & unqualified applicants. It involves some techniques such as written test, interviews, different types of other tests to identify qualified and qualitative human resources for the organization.
Definition by Dale Yoder “Selection is the process in which candidates for employment are divided into two classes – those who are to be offered employment and those who are not.” It is a process. It starts where recruitment completes. It is a negative process. It selects human resources for employment. It offers job to some people and some unlucky could not get job.
