2017 FSA Test Dates 3rd Grade: ELA (Reading) April 10-11 (Paper & Pencil) Math – April 19-20 (Computer) 4th Grade: ELA (Writing) – March 5 (Paper & Pencil) ELA (Reading) – April 26-27 (Computer) Math – May 7-8 (Computer) 5th Grade: ELA (Reading) – April 16-17 (Computer) Math – May 10-11 (Computer) Science – April 30 - May 1 (Paper & Pencil)

How do I help with Reading at home? Read aloud with your child and ask comprehension questions along the way. Share interesting articles, recipes, brochures, graphic novels, etc. Practice Test -  www.fsassessments.org

How do I help with Math at home? Practice Test - www.fsassessments.org Check your child’s homework  Access Math textbook by logging on to Myportals via the Lake County Schools website.

How can I help with 5th Grade Science at home? Review your child's interactive notebook. Encourage the use of BrainPOP for science practice and exposure – www.brainpop.com.   Check out library books on content Access Science textbook by logging on to Myportals via the Lake County Schools website.

Preparing For Test Day Get a good night’s rest before each test day. Make sure students have eaten breakfast. Breakfast is served each day from 8-8:20. All Students-please leave all electronic devices at home (BYOD will be suspended during the testing window) Encouraging their child to relax and do his/her very best on the test.

Family Support Families can promote student success by: Communicating regularly with the teacher Attending Family Media Nights, every Tuesday from 4:00-6:00 in our library.   Using online resources,  school websites & portals Taking advantage of our Family Resource Room in the media center.  It's open Monday-Thursday, 8:00-3:30.
