National Quality Partners Playbook™: Opioid Stewardship Provides essential guidance for healthcare organizations and clinicians across care settings committed to opioid stewardship Includes concrete examples and tactics for implementation, barriers and corresponding solutions, and practical tools and resources Identifies important drivers of change that can impact and advance opioid stewardship

Fundamental Actions of Opioid Stewardship The NQP Playbook™ identified seven fundamental actions of opioid stewardship: Leadership Commitment and Culture Organizational Policies Clinical Knowledge, Expertise, and Practice Patient and Family Caregiver Education and Engagement Tracking, Monitoring, and Reporting Accountability Community Collaboration 1 2 3 4 The NQP Playbook identified seven fundamental actions of opioid stewardship: Leadership Commitment and Culture Organizational Policies Clinical Knowledge, Expertise, and Practice Patient and Family Caregiver Education and Engagmenet Tracking, Monitoring, and Reporting Accountability Community Collaboration The NQP Playbook is focused primarily around these fundamental actions. Each fundamental action has its own section within the NQP Playbook, and each section includes information on implementation examples, barriers and suggested solutions, and tools and resources. The implementation examples are organized by basic, intermediate, and advanced, enabling them to resonante across organizations and care settings. The NQP Playbook also includes information on measurement and other drivers of change. 5 6 7
