The website is bilingual
Navigate to main sections via left bar
Non-technical primer available
The primer provides an overview of climate, models, scenarios and impacts
To visualize or download scenario data, register then log in
More Info section provides further technical details which will be of interest to users of scenario data
To access scenarios, you can choose to either View Maps or Download Data
The next step is to choose the specific experiment (SRES experiments now available)
Finally, choose type of map, time of year, variable, scenario time period and whether or not to display data over the ocean
You may view scenarios either (a) stepwise colourmap with mouseover display of data, latitude and longitude, or...
(b) you may view scenarios on a continuous colourmap
You may download data and longitude, latitude, land/sea mask, and zip files containing all data from an experiment
Scenario tools – scatter plots may be plotted for any one or two variables to compare projections for a given time and location from several models
Scenario tools – SDSM data available through the website may be used for downscaling
Data and plots derived from scenarios – bio-climate profiles (climate projections at stations), Climate Severity Index (projections of climate comfort for layperson), and data from several other sources outside of the CCIS project
Feedback is encouraged so we may improve the site
