Through the 1920s baseball went through some major changes. Before this time it was called the “dead ball era” and after the 1920s people have called it the “live ball era” The game started getting popular rapidly. There were lots of changes to the game in this time period. (structural and Cultural)

Babe Ruth Babe Ruth is one of the most famous baseball players from the 1920s. He was one of the reasons baseball started getting so popular, people were amazed at his talents. He started playing professionally in major league in 1914 and he retired in 1935 He was a 7-time world series champion. Named the Greatest baseball player of all time by The Sporting News.

Boxing was not so popular for quite some time before the 1920s This could be because it was made illegal until they made categories for “lightweight” “middleweight” and “heavyweight” Also the 30 second rule was made the 10 second rule

Jack Dempsey Jack Dempsey Was Undoubtedly one of the most famous athletes of the 1920s He was world heavyweight champion from 1919 all through 1926. Ruth made about $70,000 a year.
