Hi! My name is Brat. I have got straight blonde hair and brown eyes. This is my family. My father’s name is Homer. He hasn’t got any hair. He has got brown eyes. My mother’s name is Marge. She has got curly blue hair and brown eyes. I have got two sisters. Their names are Lisa and Maggie. They have got curly blonde hair and blue eyes.

THE USAGE OF 'HAVE GOT / HAS GOT'

1.We use ‘have got / has got’ when we are talking about our family members. Examples: Brat’s got two sisters. Homer has got two daughters and a son. I’ve got two uncles.

2.We use ‘have got / has got’ when we are talking about physical appearence. Examples: Marge has got blue hair and brown eyes. Alice has got blonde hair and blue eyes. Sibel has got brown hair and green eyes.

3.We use ‘have got / has got’ when we are talking about our possessions. Examples: Brat and his family have got a dog and a cat I’ve got a blue car. Jane has got a big bag. You’ve got a notebook in your bag.

AFFIRMATIVE SENTENCES We use ‘have got’ after these subjects and pronouns: ‘I, you, we, they, ali and Ayşe, etc.’ We use ‘has got’ after these subjects and pronouns: ‘He, she, it, Ali, Ayşe, etc.’

I have got a ball. You have got a bicycle.

Bugs Bunny has got flowers. Jerry has got cheese.
