Accelerating Systemic Change Network Inaugural Workshop July 6-8, 2016 Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI)

Core network activities Connect people Connect researchers and change agents working on change in higher education Curate resources Curate/create resources (broadly defined) that are useful for researchers and change agents Endorse ideas and resources Endorse/advocate for ideas and/or materials (this will evolve as the network matures) that will facilitate change in higher education

ASCN Structure – There are many ways to participate

Roles of ASCN Participants Network Hub: Support the work of the ASCN. Develop and maintain communication structures, secure funding, set initial agendas for the network, recruiting network members, support working groups. Steering Committee: Provide strategic guidance and support for the intellectual work of the community. Working Groups: Each working group will develop a small number of projects that members can choose to be involved in. Network Members: Members can choose to interact with the network in a variety of ways. Anyone who is interested can join the network.

What can each person commit to doing in the next 3 months? Report out (Put in Action Plan on SERC): 1. What is one concrete thing that we are committed to doing? How will this help to move the network forward? 2. What support does our group need from the network.
