Possible Cities Evaluations Jacksonville St Petersburg Winston Salem Columbia Richmond Atlanta Knoxville Memphis Little Rock Chattanooga Louisville Mobile Birmingham Jackson Huntsville Using resources wisely: SERDC 120 State Members are providing feedback on top 4 largest cities

Columbia, SC Committed Community Transition to carts. Robust MRF Processing Strong MRF, no action needed. Private/Public Partnership Use private sectors investments & need for material to build champions within the public sector. Strong End Markets The Southeast has strong demand for recyclables, no action needed. Supportive Policy Work with state legislation to pass supportive policy (possible landfill ban on containers). Thoughtful Outreach Good state level outreach. Program changes call for communications push on local level. Example 1: Low level effort

Mobile, AL Committed Community Needs curbside collection and roll carts. Hub and spoke would support surrounding communities. Robust MRF Processing Currently has no MRF. Private/Public Partnership Excellent grant structure from ADEM. Strong End Markets The Southeast has strong demand for recyclables, no action needed.
