By: Erica Cooke Mrs. Sanderlin 4A My Life! By: Erica Cooke Mrs. Sanderlin 4A

Landstown High School! I am senior at Landstown High School. A few of my favorite classes that I have taken over the past four years are all of my English classes, my psychology classes, and of course VTFT classes .

Academics and Extras As of last year my GPA is a 3.35 and I am hoping to get it up to a 3.4 or 3.5 by the end of my senior year. My freshman and sophomore year I was apart of German Club, I have been a member of Tri- M Honor Society for three years, FEA for two years, and I am now the Secretary for FEA.

Plans After High School…. When I get out of high school I plan on going to a four year university to get a major in General Psychology and a teaching degree in both Special Education and Elementary Education. I am planning on attending Bridgewater College in the Fall of 2013.

~Hobbies and Dreams~ Outside of school I play volleyball for courthouse recreation, I am very involved in my church, and working with the participants at my job. My dream is to go to school get my two teaching degrees, to be able to travel and see the world before I die, and live a happy stable life with my future family.

Family!! My family means so much to me. You have to keep family close to you and your heart because they are the ones that will be there for you in the end. I have a very big family and we argue, laugh, and cry together. Family plays a big role in my life and I will always defend them and be there for them when ever they may need me!

Mrs. Apples Special Education Class!!

The Teaching Profession Teaching a class is a lot harder than most people think. It is not just all about teaching the kids, grading papers, and giving them homework. There is so much more that goes into being a teacher than I would have ever expected. I spent a lot of my time, aside from teaching, grading papers, projects, test, filling out book forms, decorating the classroom, doing Tuesday folders, and creating lesson plans. I give teachers a lot more respect than I ever did before last year. Teachers do not get into teaching for themselves and definitely not the money but the best part about being a teacher is the smile on the kids faces, when you see that light bulb go off in there head when they finally get something, and to know that you have some how made an impact, even if it is a small one, in a students lives. There are bad days and good days but the good days that you have with your students always triumphs the bad days!

How this class prepared me for my Future…. This class has made me grow up and look at my life in a different way. This class help me make up my mind of what I want to do in the future and how I want to live my life. It has taught me that everything has more to it than it appears to be. This class has helped me get the foundations and the mindset of what it would be like to be a special education teacher. Teaching is definitely not easy but you just have to take a hold of teaching and just go for it.
