Alok Sharma, Mrignayani Chhotwani, Soham Talukdar At Home Alok Sharma, Mrignayani Chhotwani, Soham Talukdar Find out who is home without having to call/knock on door/message your roommates each time.

Knock and deal with them Existing Solutions Geo fencing apps Calling or messaging Knock and deal with them

At Home

User Study 33 participants (roommates) among 8 apartments. All students at UF of age group 21-32 Non-family households. Android users, with home WiFi connectivity

Results and Analysis Our System Mean rating: 7.167 Standard Deviation: 1.67 Existing Solutions Mean rating: 4.78 Standard Deviation: 1.89 P-value: 0.0084 •We compared the ease-of-use ratings of the existing solutions to the problem and our system. From the user feedback we measured the ease of use of the their current and our solution, which led us to the conclusion that we can safely reject the null hypo. Null hypo being that knocking/calling/messaging is easier. Null: user would find their existing methods easier to use.

Conclusions Provided a quick way to answer question ‘Who is home?’ Can reject null hypothesis Need to address the permanently invisible user issue.
