Lytic and Lysogenic Cycles - Lab Study the diagram of the lytic and lysogenic replication cycles of viruses provided by your teacher (your notes). Cut out the pictures of the stages of the lytic and lysogenic cycles of a typical virus. Assemble the pictures in the correct order on your poster paper. Order the pictures, using a figure 8 shape (8), one circle for the lytic cycle and the other circle for the lysogenic cycle. Next to each picture, describe what is occurring.

Lytic and Lysogenic Cycles - Lab Lytic Cycle Lysogenic Cycle

Questions - LEVEL Describe, in writing, the reproductive cycle of a lytic and a lysogenic virus. Explain how viruses can be transmitted from person to person. What are the different ways that a virus can affect the host organism?

Conclusion - PAP Design, name, draw and label an imaginary virus. Describe the host cell of your virus and explain how it affects the host cell. Describe the life cycle of your virus and indicate if it is a lytic or a lysogenic virus. Explain how your virus is transmitted and explain the symptoms of your virus.
