WIC Recipe Contest Exciting Flavors of the New Food Package Sponsored by Dairy Council of Arizona Presented by Taffery Lowry WIC Nutrition Program Consultant Arizona Department of Health Services

Project Purpose Provide WIC families with quick and easy recipes to incorporate the new foods and flavors from the food package into their diet. Provide WIC families with quick and easy recipes to incorporate the new foods and flavors from the food package into their diet.

Recipe Contest Overview Contestants will develop quick and easy recipes Contestants will develop quick and easy recipes All recipes must include foods from the new WIC package All recipes must include foods from the new WIC package Ingredients/foods not from the WIC package must be common foods typically found in a WIC household Ingredients/foods not from the WIC package must be common foods typically found in a WIC household All recipes must meet specific nutrition guidelines to qualify for the contest All recipes must meet specific nutrition guidelines to qualify for the contest All qualified recipes will be compiled into a recipe book to be distributed with the launch of the new WIC food package All qualified recipes will be compiled into a recipe book to be distributed with the launch of the new WIC food package
