Audience Demographics Demographics are categories an audience can be broken into. Age Gender Social class Where they live Sexuality Ethnicity Ability/disability Interests/hobbies What are the benefits and drawbacks of measuring audiences in this way?

Tesco is a grocery and general merchandise retailer Tesco is a grocery and general merchandise retailer. It is extremely important for them to research audience demographics in order to cater for the needs of their consumers and how to stock their shops.
