Purpose The purpose of this presentation is to provide general concussion education to all members of the sport community.
We will address: What is a concussion? What causes a concussion? When should I suspect a concussion or more serious head injury? What are the symptoms of a concussion? What are the visual signs of a concussion? What are the signs and symptoms of a more severe head or spine injury? What should I do if I suspect a more serious brain or spine injury?

What is a concussion? A concussion is a brain injury that can’t be seen on X-rays, CT or MRI scans. It affects the way an athlete thinks, and can cause a variety of symptoms.
