Newspaper Article Analysis Find at least FOUR recent newspaper articles that discuss refugees and/or asylum seekers in Australia ONE article must be about detention centres and asylum seekers in Australia ONE article must be about Australian government positively assisting refugees TWO other articles can be about either topic Copy/ paste each article into Word and record the following information about EACH article: WHO: Author’s credentials (What is their job? Are they biased?) WHAT: Text type (what is it – article, opinion, interview etc) WHERE: Source (where the text comes from – website link, newspaper title) WHEN: Date (when published – must be within the last 1-6 months) WHY: Summarise the main ideas of the article (between 6-8 sentences)
