State Education Agency (SEA) IDEA Grant Funds Administrative 2% Funds support the Civil Service FTE in the OSE, approved and appropriated by the legislature Other State Level Activities (discretionary) 10% Mi-CIS, CIMS/Catamaran, MiBLSi, MSEMP, MAF, CEN, MI3, MITS/ALE, MI2, MSD and the LIO, Project Find, MI-TOP, RTSL, Build Up Michigan, START, EOSD, ISD Transition Coordination, Pingora Consulting LLC, SSIP Coordinators, alternate state assessment, MEGS, etc. ISD Flow Through 88%

State-level Monitoring AND ISD Assistance to Support District Improvement

OSE Funded Grants ~Other State Level Activities~ To SUPPLEMENT the obligations of the IDEA requirements, the OSE uses the State Set Aside funds. Since 2012 the OSE has defunded: Mi-CIS, MI3, Project Find, MI-TOP, RTSL Spring 2016 the OSE will redefine the ISD EOSD and Transition Coordination grants ISD Technical Assistance Provider Grant Data-informed technical assistance with support from the OSE monitoring team Ongoing progress monitoring to better support local district improvement effort Liaison to the OSE for monitoring and the access records, etc. needed for state level requirements ISD Transition Coordination Grant SPP/APR B-13 Meaningful transition planning

Next Steps… Timelines: Obtain EOSD & ISD Transition Coordination grant feedback from you and from ISD directors on May 11th Make the grant applications available as soon as possible…target date of May 23 Applications deadline will be extended passed July 29th OSE State Complaint Investigations transitioning Changes to public documents summer 2016 Implementation of New Accountability Structure 2017-18
