TOPIC: Political, social and economical constraints regarding to soil conservation

WHAT IS SOIL? Soil is unconsolidated upper part of earth crust in which plants grow. It is made up of many things, such as weathered rock and decayed plants and animal matter. Soil is formed over a long period of time.

WHAT IS SOIL CONSERVATION? Soil conservation is a preservation of soil against deterioration or erosion, and maintenance of the fertilizing elements for crop production

POLITICAL CONSTRAINTS Political consciousness lacking Law may be unenforced Funds spent unwisely

SOCIO-ECONOMIC CONSTRAINTS Human barriers to conservation Farmer need more income Feeling for land essentials Land tenure effects erosion Fertilizer purchases constrains

CONTINUE……… Machinery may hasten erosion Pressure leading to unwise land use low yield and large unachieved potential Faulty post harvest handling Unjust use of pesticides and increasing crop production

CONTINUE……. Poor accessibility to quality inputs and services Limited certified seed production capacity Government interventions in agricultural market
