Saturday 3/17: SPX Night in Green auction! Tickets on sale now! Save the Date!!! Important Information: There WILL NOT be a spelling test next week! LEAP DAY! On the 26th the students will get to go to SECOND GRADE!! There they will meet the teachers and get a glimpse of what is in store for next year! It is not too late to send in donations for our Night in Green class basket! Jump Rope for Heart was a lot of fun! The kids did great. We will still accept any forgotten donations on Monday. Random Acts of Kindness Week is Feb. 26th – March 2nd. We have many great activities planned! Please read the Panther Pen for details. FYI- Save those pop tabs! Dr. Seuss is Back! We are starting a new Author Study. We will learn about Dr. Seuss, rhyming, adjectives, antonyms, questions, statements and so much more! We will be reading many books and having our own March Madness book tournament! We could use any extra copies of his books to share during this unit. If you have some we could borrow please make sure your family name is in them and send them to school next week. They will be returned when we are finished. We are going to have a Dr. Seuss Day on March 17th. More details to follow. I switched the kids to more time on XtraMath! Hopefully today’s score is an improvement! They now have 6 seconds per problem. Thursday and Friday we hope to finish up our Night In Green Toy Table. If you are free either morning and would like to help, please do!
