Graphing Acceleration velocity-time graph speed on the y-axis (vertical) & time on the x-axis (horizontal)

Velocity-Time Graph Facts speed/velocity is plotted on the y-axis (vertical) & time is on the x-axis (horizontal) the slope or steepness of the line indicates the acceleration (steeper = faster/greater) area under the line = the total distance traveled

Graphing Acceleration an upward slope means an object is speeding up (positive acceleration) a downward slope means an object is slowing down (negative acceleration) a horizontal line means an object has a constant speed (no acceleration)
