Pollution Of Lake Suwa 01L2069C Tsubasa Masuzawa 2018/12/4

Introduction Introduction Lake Suwa is well-known for its dirtiness. We should know the cause of the pollution of Lake Suwa and what we can do to improve the water quality. My name is Tsubasa Masuzawa. I’m majoring English linguistics. I’m from Suwa city. 2018/12/4

The Cause Of Pollution and the Solution Lake Suwa was a beautiful lake in the old days, but it has been terribly polluted. I will show the cause and the condition of the water quality, and the solution of the pollution. 2018/12/4

The Cause The main cause is recent increase in human population and industrial in Suwa district. It has brought much nutrients into the lake. For example, sewage, domestic drainage, oils, drainage from the factories and so on. 2018/12/4

Condition Of The Water Quality Lake Suwa is eutrophicated. It has regular appearance of unpleasant water-bloom by blue-green algae in summer. 2018/12/4

Solutions Generally speaking, the solutions are three below. 1. Don’t dump into river and lake. 2. Don’t use synthetic detergents. 3. Retire the waste oils in a kitchen. These are easy for us to carry out. 2018/12/4

Improvement By Solutions To solve this problem, construction of a sewerage system was planned in 1971. By their efforts, the nutrients supply to the lake from the watershed area has decreased by 60% in 1994, and the amount of blue-green algae in summer has also decreased by 50% or more. 2018/12/4

My Opinion We have polluted our precious earth for a long long time. In this modern society, we have power to improve nature, so we should use our power! Make up for nature!! 2018/12/4
