Missing Work for Psych 1 You will have homework every week but not every day If I assigned it, it’s worth doing Assignments are reduced by 10% every day they’re late Grade reduction stops at 50% percent I will accept papers for up to 50% credit up until the last week before the end of the marking period

Missing Work for AP Psychology You will have homework almost every day If I assigned it, it’s worth doing Assignments are reduced by 20% the first day they’re late, 40% the second day and 50% the third day Grade reduction stops at 50% percent I will accept papers for up to 50% credit up until the last week before the end of the marking period

Extra Credit Offered every marking period Worth up to 3% of your ten week grade Usually at least 2 different options Due the last week of the marking period (same day missing work is due: to be determined) Usually assigned at the middle of the marking period

Due Dates May be changed! Benefits of organization 48 hours prior to due date (eg. Wed for a Fri) No questions asked Has worked well for years!

AP Psychology Info I expect everyone to take the AP exam May 2, 2016 at noon Sign up info to come in winter Majority of students have gotten 3,4,or 5 in the last few years Class is not just focused on exam Reading quizzes or reading checks every reading assignment Class time spent reinforcing concepts

AP Psychology Grades will be calculated on a weighted basis 40% of the students grade will be based on unit tests (multiple choice and free response essays) 15% will be IDA cards 15% reading quizzes and 30% class assignments

Psychology Info This class works on two levels It provides basic information about the study of psychology It is personally meaningful Psychology 1 covers half of the text. Psychology 2 covers the other half. Each course is a semester.
