Year 2 SAts 2018

May 2018 Year 2 have got the whole of May to carry out the tests 2 Maths papers 2 Reading papers They will be administered in small groups

Maths Paper 1 is Arithmetic. It should take around 20 minutes to complete but there is NO SET TIME. There are 25 questions. Paper 2 is Reasoning. There are 35 marks. It should take around 30 minutes to completer but there is NO SET TIME. The teacher can read the questions out to the children. Approx 37 out of 50 to be ‘Age Related’.

Reading Paper 1 with 20 marks. Paper 2 is a ‘higher demand’ paper also for 20 marks. Approx 25 out of 40 to be ‘Age Related’.

gps Spelling test with 20 spellings. Grammar and punctuation test with 20 marks. Aprrox 25 out of 40 to be ‘Age Related’.

age related Children will achieve a score on their SATS test which will be used to aid the teacher assessment. Assessment for the end of Year2 will be based on the teacher assessment from all the work they have done throughout the year and all the evidence in books. They will not be assessed purely based on SATS although it is a good indicator as to what they can achieve independently.
