Let’s examine the persuasive techniques in the article: In keeping with rap’s “gangsta” subgenre, the lyrics read like an ode to violent street life, with lines like “In the hood, I am a threat / It’s written on my arm and signed in blood on my Tech” — a reference to a Tec-9 handgun. “I’m in love with you, death.” Does this quote from the article stir any emotions for you? Do you know anyone who is from the “hood” or have you been stereotyped as being from the “hood”?

What do you think? Ethos: Logos: Pathos: an ethical appeal… Is the author credible? What do you think? Logos: an emotional appeal… Does it stir your feelings? Pathos: appeal to logic… Does it cite facts/statistics?
