Parallel Circuits

What is a parallel circuit? Several paths (branches) for the current to take

How many different pathways are there? As many as you want. Usually more than 2

What happens when you add a branch? If you add more paths more opportunities for electrons to flow Overall resistance decreases

Which type of circuit is in your house? Parallel of course!

How do you know? If a light burns out, the rest of the house keeps working Resistors are simply replaced
