Volunteer levels Level 1 Work in the presence of a school employee Assist in the classroom Assist at school events Online Application Level 2 Work one on one with students Assist in office areas Attend field trips Online Application Return Waiver Complete fingerprints

Steps to Volunteer Fill out online application Notify school that application is complete Return FDLE Waiver to school Complete fingerprints Contact Teacher to schedule a time to volunteer **Very Important Check SPAM folder

Volunteer Guidelines Volunteer Hours 9:00-2:30 (1:30 Wednesday) Schedule with teacher Sign IN and OUT each time Display volunteer name tag appropriately Volunteers should not discipline students Dress appropriately Act as a role model Uphold student confidentiality *After hours volunteering can be coordinated and logged

Mentor Program Purpose What is a Mentor? Positive Role Model Friend Coach Advisor Self-Esteem builder Advocate Purpose A relationship to build trust between mentor and the student. Some of the students do not have positive relationships with adults outside of school.
