Book Report I’m completely enjoying the newest book, Intimacy in Alcoholic Relationships (B-33) It is full of many member’s sharings on different aspects of intimacy. Many shared a lack of real intimacy as a child leading them to have little or no understanding of it in their adult lives. Another common theme is that of learning real intimacy through a new found relationship with their sponsor. Each Chapter ends with a list of questions designed to help you understand your own feelings and behaviors of Intimacy. Most of all I’m grateful for a deeper understanding of what intimacy is to me and how it can grow in many areas of my life. It already has and I have a desire to welcome even more of it. I hope you enjoy your newest piece of C.A.L. (Conference Approved Literature) Please consider writing your thoughts and submitting it for our new Daily Reader still being written.

(Conference Approved Literature). INTIMACY IN ALCOHOLIC RELATIONSHIPS The winning District takes the book back, raffles it off in your District and brings from the local winner a book report about the newly won literature. This we will share at the next Assembly. Nothing fancy is required, anyone can write down what they think of this new book. Workshop Availability I’m guessing I’ve not been invited to more workshops because I live far away. I’m not afraid to drive and I enjoyed the last one! Invite us we’ll come! This is helping my recovery!

New Book - A Daily Reader 2014 World conference gave us conceptual permission to write “a new daily reader that reflects the diversity of the Al-Anon fellowship.” Sharings Are Still Needed! On our 3 legacies the Steps, Traditions and Concepts, and also Sharings that exemplify the wide variety of relationships and backgrounds of Al-Anon members. We are not only the wives of AA members anymore. We are the children of, the employees of, the husbands of, the friends and siblings of people who drink often problematically. Please allow your voice to be heard and identified with. Note: Courage to Change B-16 was our best selling book in 2017 During the Feb AWSC I was asked about new books coming out. I answered you incorrectly. April was the release date for P-94, the Intimacy book came out in July at International and this one has not been given a date yet.
