ITR Timeline: Spring 2001 Test of software platform in small courses at MSU Personnel from institutions currently using LectureOnline and CAPA are invited to MSU for an informational meeting about LON-CAPA Develop questionnaire to assess student and instructor attitudes. Review analysis methods based upon current CAPA data base and Mellon Foundation project Initial interaction with and expansion of Business Advisory Board

ITR Timeline: starting Fall 2001 LON-CAPA is beta-tested in multi-institutional setting Startup packages (at least one library server) and possible network upgrades are offered to participating institutions (university departments, community colleges, and high schools) Training for on- and off-campus faculty through workshops and on-site visits Further user conferences Data evaluation

ITR Timeline: starting year 4 Finalize spin-off of not-for-profit service corporation lon-capa.org (planned) Data analysis, publications, etc.

Pilot User Early beta-test for non-MSU users in Fall 2001 First non-MSU release anticipated in time for Spring semester 2002 Equipment loaner program for a limited number of institutions

Participation in Coding Source code will be made available under GNU Public License CVS repository will be made available at MSU Institutions and groups welcome in coding effort!
