Title Abstract What/who is your analysis about? What are the main points (4-5) that you will talk about in your analysis? Do not forget that one of your points is surrounding thoughts of why you chose the artist/movement There is no required length for your abstract.

Body of the Analysis Introduction This opens your analysis to the reader. Just like you would introduce someone to an alien idea, how would you attempt to relate this to him or her. Example This brief analysis is an introduction to Duchamp. Duchamp was an artist born in……(all this covers is his birth, maybe and any personal/ home life that’s not very relevant to the movement )

Body continued How many points, referred to in your abstract, do you have? Flush out the idea in its entirety What does that mean? For every point, you are Describing, Analyzing, Interpreting, and Judging the points you have chosen Please do not short change yourself; if you do, I shortchange your grade. You are to treat this just like you are taking your exam, since it is part of your final exam You will not have the chance to re- submit, so go to the writing lab; pay attention in your English classes and look at examples of works on the web Use artist vocabulary, found in your file or on the website

Conclusion Wrap it up! Simply re-state the body in a past tense, the opposite of the abstract. For example, the abstract talked about when he was born, the conclusion refers to when he died. The Conclusion is simply putting your final touch on your thought that may not have fit into he analysis. There is no length requirement to this analysis or sections in the analysis. However, do not attempt to short-cut yourself. You short-cut your self, I short-cut your grade
