Surface Tension Aquatic Science Gomez

The force exerted by the molecule on the surface of a liquid is attracted only towards the sides and downward that it behaves like an elastic film.

Surface molecules experience attraction mainly from either side and downwards

Examples of Surface Tension

Spherical Shape of water. Animal walking on surface of water.

Predict! How many drops of water can you fit on the surface of a penny? How many drops of water will fit on a quarter? What happens if you place a paper clip flat on water? What happens if you place the paperclip standing on its end in water?
