English Department Goals To teach students to read critically write and speak clearly and cogently To see course proficiencies, please click HERE.

Assessments Grading Policy At least 1 major assessment at the end of every unit Homework, Canvas discussions, journal entries, quizzes Grading Policy Homework = 5 pts. (Homework will count as an effort grade, which means that no credit will be assigned for homework that is not completed in full. You will either receive 5 points for fully completed homework, or zero points for incomplete or missing homework. Canvas discussions = 10 pts. Projects = 50-100 pts., depending upon assignment requirements. Point values will be provided when a project is assigned. Major Assessments (for ex., essay, test) = 100 pts.
