Week of March 18th Mrs. Grandon Next week in 116: Bonus Words: Phonics – vowel pairs of ai, ay, ee, ea Math – creating, predicting and extending patterns Reading – Meet the Super Croc, summarizing, main idea, review suffixes Writer’s Workshop/English – writing a friendly letter Social Studies – Civil War, American immigrants, time lines Cursive Handwriting – Capital A and B Bonus Words: alarm carve garbage Spelling Words (r controlled vowel): far dark arm part hard started farm cart march bark party barn Vocabulary Words: site hopeful unable confirm ancient valid Reminders: Walking Club starts back up on the 18th. Our second grade music program is on the 21st. Please have students here with t-shirt and jeans on at 6:10. Mrs. Boyd was asking for a volunteer to iron the shirts for the class. Spring pictures are on the 27th. Report cards go home on the 28th. Book Bingos and Math Facts are due on the 28th. No school on the 29th. Have a Great Weekend!
