Individual Assignments No talking. Sit in your assigned seat. Do your own work with your own materials. Raise your hand and be called on to ask a question.

Lecture or Whole Class Assignment Raise your hand to speak - No interrupting others. No side bar conversation. Participate fully. Sit in your assigned seat. Have pen and paper out and take notes.

Small Group Procedure Sit with students in your assigned group. Work on the assigned task. Use materials needed for group work. Assign group roles. Keep the noise low.

Tardy Procedure Give the pass to the teacher and sit down in your seat. Do not disturb the class. Engage yourself in the lesson. See teacher during a class break or at the end of class for consequences.

Put away materials when directed. Stay seated in your seat. Dismissal Procedure Put away materials when directed. Stay seated in your seat. Teacher will dismiss you. Leave your area clean and tidy.

Bathroom Procedure Bathroom use is only for emergencies!!! Ask the Teacher for permission to leave. Sign out on the binder at student center. Sign in and write in the time you returned. Only one student is out at a time for 5 mins. Do not abuse the bathroom privilege!!! You are responsible for the information you missed during your bathroom break. Quietly ask a student next to you.

Classroom Computer/Printer Use Need to have teacher’s permission to use it. You will not be allowed to use it if you mess around with the computer or use it inappropriately. Always turn it off when you are done. Leave the table and chairs neat and tidy when you are done. Printer use is off limits to students. You are to use the printer in the library at your own time.

Absent Work It is your responsibility to make up any absent work that you missed. It needs to be completed within a week of your absence or it won’t be accepted. Unusual circumstances need to be arranged with the teacher. Check Aeries, Absent binder, Buddy and teacher for absent work. Teacher will only be available during Advisory or after school for help.

Grades Updated frequently on Aeries. Based on Total points so everything carries equal weight. Extra credit is not given to help your grade. See teacher during Advisory for help but you need to get your pass before or after school. Stay on top of your class and do your best on every assignment. Finals are given at the end of each semester.

Assignments Turn in all assignments during the first five minutes of class in the designated tray. Do not try to complete assignments during class and then turn it in. Cheating on assignments and tests equals zero for all parties involved. Late work is not accepted without a Code blue pass. Do not come from another class to talk to me about your assignments when I am teaching.

Code Blue Pass You will only be allowed to use one code blue pass per quarter. Some assignments will be “No Code Blue” so pay attention in class and check with the teacher. Late work needs to be handed to the teacher and not dropped in the basket. Do not ask someone else to turn in your late or absent work to me.

Group Projects There are no excuses for not completing a group project on time. Everyone should have a copy of the project. Contact each other if you are going to be absent. Do not leave your group hanging by not doing your part. Divide the labor equally so that everyone is working on the project.

Class Ambassadors Welcome the guest(s) to our class. Share our learning objective with them. Explain what we are doing to master the learning objective. Invite them to join the class. Answer any questions they may have.

Positives You guys rock! I’m excited about this school year!
