Now we have reached the end of this trimester, I would like to thank you all for your hard work. I think you should be proud of what you have created. You have two days to bring your work together into a showcase. We did it!

The purpose of a showcase is to demonstrate the hard work you have done and the effort you have put into it. Your showcase should allow anyone to view, interact and understand what you have been exploring. The four areas for your showcase should include. The showcase

CONTENT RESEARCH INTO THE BRIEF: The infographic THE CARDBOARD ARM: Make sure there is clear instructions on how to use it. If you did not complete, show the progress and journey. ALPHA- You should be able to show your Alpha sequence. This can either be with Alpha, or you can show a recording. It would be nice to have you Alpha mBot – You should be able to show your mBot experiment and outcomes. This, again, can either be with mBot, or a recording. It would be nice to have your mBot. VEX – You need to be able to demonstrate how you worked as a team to achieve the building and include the experiments you undertook. CONTENT

TICK IF YOU HAVE COMPLETED BLOGS WORK TO INCLUDE TICK IF YOU HAVE COMPLETED Week one Research into Proxama B, Earth and robotics. Creating the infographic. Planning the cardboard arm. Week two Constructing the cardboard arm and experiment. If you completed, you should upload a video of it in action Week three Introduction to Alpha software and the problem. You needed to create a script and storyboard that welcomed the settlers to Proxama B. Week four Programming the software. Working in Audacity to create the audio. Week five Recording the sounds. Record the finished outcome Week six Introduction to mBot. Constructing mBot. Experimenting with the three sensors. Recording this experiment and uploading to WordPress Week Seven Understanding how Scratch can be used to programme the mBot. Design a maze for the mBot to use that pushes how the sensors and scratch can work together to solve the problem. Week Eight SNOW WEEK – Solving the scratch problem. Using scratch guide the 2d version of the mBot through the maze to the cheese. Week Nine Building the maze and experiment how the mBot moves around the maze Week Ten Introduction to VEX and working in teams to build the VEX. Working with the mod kit to programme the VEX. Week Eleven Preparing the showcase and a 500 word evaluation.
