DEFINITION FOR TRANSFER. THIS TECHNIQUE WANTS ITS TARGET AUDIENCE TO ASSOCIATE THE GOOD OR EVEN BAD FEELINGS CREATED IN THE ADVERTISEMENT TRANSFERRED OVER TO THE PRODUCT. CHECK THAT OUT; SHE LOOKS SO HAPPY ABOUT THAT BROCCOLI IN THE ADVERTISEMENT, SO I WILL BE HAPPY IF I HAVE BROCCOLI TOO!

DEFINITION FOR FACTS AND FIGURES. THIS TECHNIQUE WANTS ITS TARGET AUDIENCE TO BE CONVINCED THAT A PRODUCT IS BETTER THAN ANOTHER BECAUSE IT USES STATISTICS, NUMBERS, AND PERCENTAGES. HEY, 8 OUT TEN OF TEN PEOPLE WITH FLATULENCE PROBLEMS RECOMMEND BEANO OVER GAS-X FOR WHEN THEY HAVE GAS. I BETTER BUY BEANO!

Definition for Testimonial. ADVERTISERS USE BOTH CELEBRITIES AND REGULAR EVERYDAY PEOPLE TO ENDORSE A PRODUCT. HEY, THERE IS SOMEONE WHO LOOKS JUST LIKE ME DRINKING MILK; I WILL TOO. HEY, THERE IS SUPERMAN DRINKING MILK—I WANT MILK TOO.
