What are we analysing? The image – lighting, costume, paralanguage, framing, angle The font The representation – think about all the things you covered in the essay Media language – what effect might the representation have upon the audience? The narrative – is a story created? Genre – will the audience know from the CD cover what type of music this belongs to? What common codes and conventions does the CD cover adhere to? Audience – who does the CD cover target?
