Introduction People are accustomed to using the computer applications when they are reading digital texts (such as magazines, newspapers and e-mail) There are controversial debates that this trend will continue. 12/4/2018

Motivation Without obvious explanation, many researchers and educators are ignoring or paying minimal attention to digital technologies because of their psychological and emotional affinity to the conventional printed book . ( David Reinking, 1999) 12/4/2018

Problem Description Focuses on the effect of electronic text in reading literature through a novel. Computer with contemporary software and connectivity to the internet are valuable tools for students in helping students developing literature 12/4/2018

Hypothesis “The more people are exposed to electronic text on computer screen, the more people are likely to feel comfortable reading electronically published book rather than the printed book.” 12/4/2018

Approach Two groups are solicited for participants in Ball State University. 12/4/2018

Approach ( sample size) A minimum of 100 students will be solicited from each group. 12/4/2018

Approach The first group will be composed of freshmen. They will represent general people. 12/4/2018

Approach The second group will be consisted of juniors in CS, They will represent the people who are more exposed to electronic texts than general people. 12/4/2018

Approach ( test) They take a paper-based test and later they take a computer-based test Both of them take tests twice (The degree of difficulty of the tests is almost the same.) 12/4/2018

Approach (test) 50 Test questions 100 minutes time limit Test Style (Reading test) -- GRE, TOEFL, SAT 12/4/2018

Approcah (the average) The average score for the printed test will be manipulated 70%, if the highest is 100% 12/4/2018

Data Analysis Statistical measure will be used SPSS software will be used for all analysis 12/4/2018

Data Analysis There will be Two results are expected 1) the first group has higher grades in printed test than in computer-based test. 12/4/2018

Benefit of the research Some publishing companies can use the results to expect the scale of the computer-based publishing markets. Promotion of the application or the device for reading Digital Publishing material . 12/4/2018

Conclusion Predict the computer-based publishing be popular. Improve the computer-based publishing. 12/4/2018
