General Shop Safety Attire and Appearance

Clothing Roll long sleeves up above the elbow. This will keep your clothes clean and prevent the material from getting caught in the tool you are working with.

Other Attire Ear buds Headphones Neckties Not Allowed at any time!

Foot Protection To prevent injuries NEVER wear shoes with open toes while working in the shop.

Foot Protection (Shoe Soles) Make sure the soles of your shoes are thick enough to prevent nails from puncturing them.

Foot Protection (Steel Toes) The best way to protect your feet from being crushed is to use foot ware that has a cap built in which covers the toes.

Jewelry Don’t wear necklaces that may become entangled Take off rings to keep your fingers from getting caught Remove watches or bracelets

Long hair Tie it back so it can not hang over the tool you are working with.

Face Ripped Off… A surgical team in India reattached the face of a girl who sustained a severe avulsion injury (her face was ripped off when her hair became caught in a machine) to her face.
