Top Class 5: A musical journey exploring The Little Red Hen START Top Class 5: A musical journey exploring The Little Red Hen Key skills: listening, performing and composing Week 1: Use voices to make farm animal sounds. Identify some animal sounds. Sing animal songs. Week 2: Learn a song about the little red hen. Learn ‘hen beats’ and add them to the song. Week 4: Create a piece of music about the journey of the three wise men. Week 5: Practice own song for the Christmas play and add a beat. Week 3: Revise the song about the little red hen and learn ‘hen rhythms’. Play farm animal patterns. Week 6: Perfect own class song for the Christmas play and play associated patterns.
